The Artist Behind the Brush

I'm Brittany, founder of Brushed Wigs and hairstylist of 17+ years.

My journey in beauty started in 2008 when I earned my cosmetology license from Paul Mitchell the School. Within a year, I was managing a salon of 13 stylists, a fast-paced environment that shaped me into both a creative and a leader.

By 2014, I left the salon world to pursue what I loved most: on-location bridal and event styling. From intimate weddings to weekly e-commerce shoots with Pink Blush Maternity, I spent years helping women feel beautiful during life's most meaningful moments.

Then in 2017, I got the opportunity to work as a wig stylist for Disney, and everything changed. I discovered the art of transformation that only wig styling can offer, and I was completely hooked.

A year later, life handed me something I never expected. After losing 90 pounds of baby weight, I also lost most of my hair. Out of desperation, I ordered a cheap wig from Amazon just to feel like myself again. As a woman looking for something beautiful, realistic, and wearable, I found almost nothing.

So I built what I wished had existed.

Brushed Wigs was born from that gap, and from a deep understanding of what it truly means to put something on your head and finally feel like you again. Today, every unit I design is crafted with care, precision, and the kind of personal investment that only comes from having lived this experience myself.
